Formed in 1994 all four of the presitigous players in the Mirage String Quartet are, or have been, members of the magnificent Opera North Orchestra, based in Leeds.
They are a professional String Quartet comprising of four experienced classical musicians playing at weddings, civil ceremonies, Christmas parties and corporate functions throughout Yorkshire, Humberside, Lancashire and further afield - elegance, versatility and much more.
The quartet have played to great acclaim at renowned venues throughout Yorkshire, Manchester and Lancashire including the official opening of Harvey Nichols alongside singer, KD Lang, and also with Jessye Norman, Sir Cliff Richard, Gary Barlow, Lesley Garrett, Sting and Rod Stewart.
They play regularly at Harewood House, Hazlewood Castle, Holdsworth House, Ripley Castle, the Devonshire Arms, Bertie's of Elland, Wood Hall, Oulton Hall, The Mansion; Roundhay, Newby Hall, Castle Howard, Carlton Towers, the Hey Green Hotel and at many other beautiful churches and stately homes in and outdoors (weather permitting !) throughout the UK.
The Mirage String Quartet have also played to many well-known state dignitaries including Bill Clinton, Mikhail Gorbachev and at the official opening of the Lowry Theatre, Manchester, in the presence of Her Majesty the Queen.
